September 5th is National Cheese Pizza Day
you're looking for something to do today then I hope you're not lactose
intolerant because it's National Cheese Pizza Day! I dare you
eat only one slice! Let's get right into celebrating National
Cheese Pizza Day!
WHY IS THIS A
Well, it's no secret that people love pizza... I mean, you
probably have like 5 pizza places within 10 minutes of your house! But
how many pizzas out there do you see without cheese? Sure, some people
might opt out but it's not that common. So I believe that today is a
day to celebrate the basic start of almost any pizza... a cheese pizza.
It's how most pizzas start out, but today you can hold the other
toppings and celebrate the cheesiness! And even the ancient
Greeks were leaning toward the creation of cheese pizza, as they ate
bread with oils, herbs and cheeses on top. But it was the Italians who
first made a pizza called the Neapolitan pie with tomato. And in 1889,
can you guess what came next? They added cheese! An invention so good
that even kings like King Ferdinand I would dress up as a commoner,
sneak into a poor neighborhood in Naples and sink his teeth into the
I have no idea why anyone would ban pizza from
their royal court but we all know what pizza is all about. Delicious
crust, topped with some saucy sauce and then sprinkled with as many
different types of cheese as you want. You can have cheese all up in
your crust, sauce and cheese on top of cheese on top! Then you just
bake that baby and enjoy. Go ahead and order some!
So, how can you celebrate today? Well, I'm sure some of you
already have your phone in your hand! So go ahead and order a pizza and
have it delivered to you, if you're all about relaxing while you
celebrate. Get extra cheese and ask for the cheesiest pizza possible.
If you live alone you pretty much have your food covered for the day!
Or you can opt for a frozen pizza; it's a little more work
you're still able to relax. And yeah, some frozen pizzas are horrible
but if you go with one that has a self-rising crust then you may just
be onto something! I admit that I'll always have a soft spot for
But if you're all about making your own food
then get to tossing that dough! Coat it with a nice oil (maybe even a
garlic oil) and if you're a true baller you'll stuff that crust with
some extra cheese. Then slap on some sauce and start sprinkling on the
magic. You can put 10 different kinds of cheese on there if you want;
that is if you really know how to party. ;) Then all you have to do is
wait for it to bake so you can O.D. on dairy products. Have a
great day and get some wings while you're at it!
