February 25th is National Chocolate Covered Peanuts Day
you're looking for something to do today then get a little nutty
because it's National Chocolate Covered Peanuts Day! Who
like a little extra crunch to their chocolate? Let's get
into celebrating National Chocolate Covered Peanuts Day!
WHY IS THIS A
Come on... really? You have to ask? When you wrap such a
commonly eaten nut like a peanut in a sweet blanket of chocolate it
turns into something awesome. Something they usually refer to as
delicious. And when something is this tasty, it usually ends up being
celebrated... which is the reason for today's holiday! So
we have the peanuts, which are very common and are actually pretty
healthy. Yes, some people are allergic to them but they are packed with
nutrients. Peanuts are a good source of things like fiber, vitamin E
and phosphorus. They contain mostly healthy, unsaturated fats, no trans
fat, no sodium and have the highest ratio of protein of all the true
And their high niacin content helps keep your brain
healthy and your blood flowing just how you want it. So not only do
they taste good, but peanuts actually do good things for your body.
And then you have chocolate which, as with all food, in
isn't a good thing, but it does have its benefits. Dark chocolate has
been found to possibly help out with your circulation. And chocolate
may also stimulate your brain, help fight cancer, prevent you from
coughing and well... keep you from having the squirts! But
you melt down the chocolate... nice transition huh? ;) ...but when you
melt down the chocolate, drop peanuts in it and cool them down it
becomes such a very common treat that many have already eaten plenty of
times this year. It's odd to think that, in moderation, this treat
might actually benefit you but it really could! So celebrate today
So how can you celebrate today? Well, I think to start you
should head to a local candy store or the candy aisle in your grocery
store. Scan the shelves and pick out some chocolate covered peanuts
from the wide selection you're provided. Now you're set to munch on
something sweet all day ;).
But don't be greedy, share
with your friends, family and maybe your co-workers too! It's always a
lot more fun to celebrate with others. And why not play a
chocolate covered peanuts basketball with your mouth? Just
miss unless you're ok with eating them off the ground! And if
feel like being creative you can head to your kitchen and whip up your
own chocolate covered peanuts. But how are you going to get creative?
Well, there is milk chocolate, dark chocolate and white chocolate for
starters. There is also a handful of different types of peanut
varieties out there like Spanish , Runner, Valencia and Virginia. Plus
you can pour your chocolate onto wax paper and make different little
chocolate covered shapes. So have a little fun with your sweet little
creations and see what you can come up with. I hope you have
chocolate covered day of nuttiness!
