April 20th is National Pineapple Upside-Down Cake Day
you're looking for something to do today then I hope you like fruity
cakes because it's National Pineapple Upside-Down Cake Day!
wrong way never tasted so right! Let's get right into
National Pineapple Upside-Down Cake Day!
WHY IS THIS A
Today is a holiday because pineapple is a delicious fruit
when you add it and its juices to a cake then you're bound to come out
with a delicious treat! So many people enjoy this upside-down cake that
they wanted to celebrate it; that's pretty much it! And hey, it's
pretty fun eating a cake upside-down. No, you don't have to
handstand to eat this cake. All you do is melt some butter and pop it
in your cake pan and then sprinkle brown sugar all over that. This is
to help your cake easily slide out of the pan once you're done cooking
Then you lay down a layer of pineapple rings and pop a
maraschino cherry in the center of each ring. Yep, your cake is going
to look like a glazed ham! The cake batter can simply be a
white cake mix that comes with its own instructions. All you want to do
is replace most of the water they call for with the pineapple juice
from the pineapple rings. This ensures that you get pineapple flavor
all through the cake. Then you just bake it as per the box
instructions, let it cool for 10 minutes and then carefully flip it
onto a plate or platter. And BAM, you've got an upside-down
that looks like it's right side up!
So how can you celebrate today? Well, you can easily head to
your local grocery store and see if they don't already have some
ready-made pineapple upside-down cakes ready for you to munch on.
That's quite a simple way to celebrate but it obviously won't be the
freshest cake. So why not head down the grocery aisles and
you can find a pineapple upside-down cake mix? It's a little more work
but you'll know exactly what's going into your cake and it'll be as
fresh as possible. Just make sure that you're careful when you flip it
Or, if you're not one for cakes from a box, then you can
scan your cookbooks or look online for a pineapple upside-down cake
recipe. It's really not that hard to whip up and it's such a
sweet-tasting cake! Plus, if you make it from scratch, you
make sure that only the healthiest ingredients go into your not so
healthy cake. You could also make things interesting by
your friends what day it is and have them all take part. Each of you
bake your own cake and then meet up somewhere and sample each others
cakes. It doesn't matter how you make it, just show up with your own
cake! Then you can see who had the best recipe and who flipped their
cake over with the least damage. The winner... is just awesome!
Enjoy your day and have fun flipping!
