Pinole Oatmeal Recipe
 
  1.
Toast 1 cup of cornmeal on medium
      heat in a lightly-oiled frying pan for
      about 8 minutes, until it's light
      brown, while stirring often.

  2. In a bowl, mix toasted cornmeal
      with 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, 2
      tablespoons of honey and 1.25 cups
      of hot water.

  3. Spoon-feed yourself!  

Iskiate Recipe
 
  1.
Stir 1 tablespoon of chia seeds into         10 ounces of warm water.

  2. Let stand for 5 minutes.

  3. Stir 3 tablespoons of lime juice  
      and 1 tablespoon of honey into
      water mixture, until honey has
      dissolved.

  4. Chug it!

Pinole Brownie Recipe
  1. Toast 1/2 cup of cornmeal on
      medium heat in a lightly-oiled
      frying pan for about 7 minutes, until
      it's light brown, while stirring often.

  2. In a bowl, mix toasted cornmeal
      with 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1
      tablespoon of honey and 5/8 cup of
      water.   Spoon onto a lightly oiled
      baking sheet, flatten it out some and
      then bake at 350 degrees for 21
      minutes.

  3. Let cool for 10 minutes and chomp!  

Spicy Tarahumaran Soup Recipe
  1. Put 1/6 a chopped head of cabbage,
      1/2 of a chopped chili pepper, 1/2 a
      can of pinto beans, 1/2 of a cubed
      yam, 1 tablespoon of minced garlic,
      and 2.5 cups of water into a pot and
      bring it to a boil.

  2. Turn it down to medium heat and
      simmer uncovered for 15 minutes,
      while stirring occasionally.

  3. Stir in 3/4 teaspoon of salt.

  4. Slurp it!

Spicy Tarahumaran Burritos Recipe
  1. Sauté 1/2 a sliced chili pepper on
      med. heat in a lightly-oiled frying
      pan for 3 minutes. (Stir
      occasionally)

  2. Add a little more oil and 1/6 a sliced
      head of cabbage, and sauté for 7
      more minute. (Stir often)

  3. Add 1/2 a can of pinto beans and
      cook for 3 more minutes. (Stir
      occasionally)  Roll what you can
      into 2 tortillas and plop the rest
      on the side, son!

* Portion-Controlled Meal of Whatever I Want

Lunch
* 1 Pinole "Brownie"
* 1 Glass of Iskiate


Breakfast
* 1 Hard-Boiled Egg
* 1 Orange
* Half a Pinole Oatmeal

Cheat Day
* 1 Day a Week Where I Eat as Much of Whatever I Please



A lot of these recipes were inspired by another site I found, but here are the exact recipes I will be using on my running days (Monday, Wednesday and Friday), which mainly consist of ingredients that the Tarahumara people would be able to get their hands on...
